Happy Birthday to me!

Hello my lovelies xxx I am sitting here the weekend after spending a lovely birthday with my dearest friend Rani for a nice lunch at the George in Nunney :) also with my new Landlady Val and her Mum.

My birthday started with a wonderful chat with Helen and Rob on Face Time, it is always nice to talk with my babies :) (they are still my precious babies, even though they are old enough now to have families of their own) I do miss them terribly :( as my daughter points out, it was my choice to move away! As I said she did for a previous two years, I must say that the time did go fast when she was away. It's a bit the same for me, it is already 18 months gone since I left!

After my chat with the kids, I went to Nunney with Val and her Mum and met up with Rani for lunch :I have been to Nunney before to the Castle, it is steeped in history, such a lovely little village, the castle is right in the middle of the village :)

This week proved an exciting week, I picked up my new wheels :) most of you would have seen the pics on Facebook :) my 2005 Kia Cerato Sedan. I had to take the hire car back, which was probably a good thing, was getting awful headaches all the time :( discovered that petrol was leaking and coming into the car :( not the nicest of things! Well I most fortunate as I ended up getting a credit for taking the car back early, or maybe they paid me up, to stop me taking legal action!

One week on after getting my car, I'm still really happy with it, it runs well, took it for a run to Shaftesbury on Saturday to meet mt lovely friend's Anne and Bryan :) we were catching up for a belated birthday lunch :) and we all went to Aromas Indian Restaurant and then we had a bit of a walk on Gold Hill and near the Abbey, but it was closed :( so we took a couple of pics at the entry and then took a walk along the heritage trail :) it was a hazey day but the sun was shining and it was crisp, but lovely for a walk.

My sightseeing today Sunday is cancelled :( can't see a foot in front of me today! Foggy as! I was going to go up to the White Horse.

I have been invited to Val's family dinner tonight, for her birthday, her birthday was on the 28th five days after mine :) speaking about birthdays this week, there have been quite a few! Paula, Lee and Sue From Work in Aus, lovely Deb in US Xx just to name a few, we're all November babies :) my brother turned 50! If I have forgotten you, it wasn't intentional xxx hope you had a great day!

Well I'm off to have a nice relaxing bath I think :) the walk yesterday stirred up my back and foot probs, so I nice soak will do it some good! Then it's cooking time I think :)

New car!!

Hello my lovelies :) I am slowly getting there! I have been at my new work almost a month, in my room in Westbury, two weeks now and settled and finally today, bought my car! What a to do! I was starting to have a panick, I had to return the hire car this week, so was cutting it fine! Went out all day yesterday to the outskirts of Bristol and saw a few I liked, went back today and payed a deposit :) it gets delivered on Tuesday to my work :)

Now I can squeal Kia! every time I see that silly add on telly! Lol

 

I sacrificed air con and automatic again :( but on a bargaining tool, it has Cruize Control and I love Cruize control! I think for the month or two of warmish day, I can put the back window down, also on a plus, it's got a bit more grunt than my other little car, so I can glide up and down the English, Scottish and European countryside with ease :) I will have to get use to having the indicators on the proper side again without turning the wipers on every five minutes! It has been owned by a father, then his daughter used it before selling it, only has 40,000 miles on the clock which for a 9 yr old car is pretty remarkable! I have seen all the MOT certificates and it has a good record as far as service, so hopefully it will serve me well :) nice and light to drive, just have to conquer the light clutch, but that always happens with a new car!

I wanted to go for a drive today to show you the amazing autumn colours, but might do that next weekend now in my new car! It is absolutely beautiful at the moment, pictures don't actually do it justice, I never tire of just getting out on the country roads and looking at all the green fields, look like patchwork, the yellows and now all the leaves are all shades of golden browns and yellows, just magnificent! British people say to me, why are you here? They just don't realise what beauty they have in their country! Yes there are small lanes, crowded houses and the weather can be grim most of the time, but even when it is, there is always something nice to see :) I love this time of year, there is definItely a crispness in the air and you do need to think about taking a scarf with you some days and a coat, but then other days, it's glorious and the sun is shining and you think, how can that be, in the middle of November? One who has always celebrated my birthday in the blistering heat, as in next weekend, I have to say I really enjoy the change here, urging up to go for a walk outside on an autumn day. I'm thinking next weekend, going to go find some really big trees, with lots of fallen leaves and really have some fun scooping up the leaves, throwing some up into the air, providing it's fine and sunny and not raining, then they would me mush on the ground!

I haven't organised anything yet, but I am hoping to go out next weekend for my birthday :) I might arrange a night out at the George in Nunney :) my landlady Val, has her birthday the 28th of Nov, so might be lovely to get a meal if nothing else.

I have got a new address as you most of you are aware, so just private message me and I will give you my address :) i have a few more pics for those that may be interested.

Where I live in Westbury is a very famous landmark, some of you may have already seen it or one similar :)

Well that's it for another week my beautiful family and friends, I hope you are all well and I look forward to showing you some of my new adventures from now onwards, as I start to build a new story or adventure, starting now, Christmas is not far around the corner, god scary really! Maybe I can get away for a weekend by then :)

Westbury, Wiltshire, home of the White horse and moi!

Just a quick one tonight to all my family and friends xxx to let you all know I'm all moved in to my room in Westbury. I'm living with a lovely lady Val and her mum Sheila :) it's in a 3 story house, I have a room on the top floor and my own bathroom as some of you may have seen by the pics, that I have posted already. It's a spacious home, I get to share a nice kitchen and dining room and lounge area with Val and her Mum has the whole second floor. It's known as "The Beck House" which means "pond house"

Basically this is right outside our front door!

I nice brightly painted walls and I even have birds singing in the trees on my wall!

I cannot believe the amount of stuff that I accumulated in 17 months! I have had to sell most of my stuff and ended up giving away quite a bit of stuff and yet I still have heaps of stuff I had to move over yesterday and up three flights of stairs! I'm not buying anying now except a car! Which I now have to, as my other one was written off by insurance, so now that is my next task, find a car!

I called home today, was hoping to catch the kids :( they were busy, but I did get to speak briefly with my sister Suz, then got cut off :( wasn't meant to be! I'm going to try again next weekend! Big birthday weekend at home, Shirley's birthday was on 31st October, then my younger Brother making a milestone birthday on the 5th, turning 50! I also got to speak with Lita :) I was just pleased that someone answered from home, I tried several numbers, all busy on your weekend :)

Well I best finish off for now, it's 11pm, got work in the morning :) will be car hunting this week, so who know, you might see me in a sporty number next week! Lol
