Greetings from Zommerzet, Clive from Bowra's I have finally got the pronounciation right! The land of the best cheddar ever and yes Cath Ball, the "Scrumpy Cider" does leave you a bit leg less, but I had to have one for you Cath! But then after that, spent the next two hours having to walk around the town and pretend I wasn't drunk or on something and walk it off, but that wasn't hard because it was such a quaint, cute little village, I could live here, although I think the touristy part, could get a bit, the same as "Mandurah" gets in summer time, tons of buses and loads of terrorists as Mum use to say! I would have enjoyed company yesterday, but my friend was sick in bed so I made the most of what was of the English Father's Day and enjoyed myself :) Helen I found another "Jacob's Ladder" for you to climb, only about 297 steps or so to the top! I was having a chat to a fella, as you do lol and he had just come down from the top, looked as fit as, back pack on, I wished him well on his way and we parted ways as he walks past me and down the road. Derek I found your Tea Rooms along the way, nestled in the Main Street, not far from where they sold the "Scrumpy Cider". (funny that! Reminded me of the days at The "office" when we would all go have a drink with George after work, well I had a drink for both George and Cath today :). I didn't get to chat to many people today because it was after all "fathers day" so left most people to their kids :). I think though I might have to come back up here during the week and visit the caves here and they have crystals up here as well and they have. An open bus trip up and down the "gorge" so that might be nice. In the meantime though here are some happy snaps of the little town of "Cheddar" and the Cheddar Gorge" all proceeds of entrances to the Gorge, go towards saving it, removing the Ash trees from some of the rock formations at the top, so livestock can roam again and so that the town can place netting down the bottom of a lot of the rock formations to catch rubble as the rocks fall, avoiding cars and people at the bottom! (a good thing, I would say!)
