Back to work!

Hello to all my lovely family and friends this week xx This week has seen the return of my work week, the return of early starts, making lunches, long drives to work and full days and and long drives home and early nights, due to lethargy! It was a harder week in as far as it took far more of my energy, than I thought it would.

It was so nice to see all my work colleagues, they were equally pleased to see me :) my boss was very pleased to have me back and happy to give me work for the next month. I will have the next week without my boss, she is on holidays, but that will give me some time to hunt for a new job, update my CV and see my Agents to see what work I can do after this job finishes.

This weekend is a long weekend, or known in UK as a Bank Holiday :) started on Saturday morning by catching up with my friend Ros who with her husband owned Rosie's Sandwich Bar in Wells :). I use to religiously catch up with them, every time I went to Wells shopping or to the markets. Whilst I was back in Mandurah, I got a letter from Ros, telling me, they had sold the business and they hoped that they could catch up. So Saturday morning I went to Glastonbury to a great little cafe called The Hundred Monkeys. I had a bit of a giggle as to Ros' description of the cafe haha (never been in before, but looks ok, bit hippy, knit their own sandals from cobwebs.... You know the type! ) We had a lovely catch up, nice cup of tea, even the pouring rain, getting there, didn't put us off! Ros had to get going, she had thing's to do, so I left the cafe and I went to the organic grocery and veg place and bought a few of my stable special nut flour's and a few veggies and staggered back to the car with my bag and holding my brolley all in the hope of staying dry :) After a drive back to Shepton Mallet, filled up with petrol for the week, and dropped into Aldi's ( forgot bananas!) need so e to make some banana bread this arvo :)

I had a bit of a cooking day today, starting with a nice healthy Lunch :)

Smoked Cod Fish, Baby Spinach with Mushrooms :)

It's freezing cold today, after getting home from Gladtonbury, having had my nice lunch, I'm still cold and in the mood now for some cooking, as I now stocked with banana's, nuts now what can I make? Ah I know :)

My version of healthy Paleo banana bread with raisins, Cocunut chips and cashews. Yummm

I'm so busy in the kitchen, plates everywhere, what a mess! But after the initial clear away of stuff and the load into the dish washer (got to love the dish washer!) the kitchen looks back to normal :) I sit down with a nice warm cuppa and a slice of my banana bread :)

I'm sitting relaxing and suddenly realise what the time is and that I only have about 30 minutes to shower and get ready for my night out! My work mate Ruth, has asked me to a music festival in Keynsham, which is actually where I have been working all week. Which is not that far from Bristol. Ruth's partner Pete is playing in a band (Hash? Harry or something like that? ), a bit later, about 9pm, but she wanted to go a bit earlier to listen to another swing band called Fatman Swings :) We met up around 7pm, and went out to the Beer Garden where the previous band was playing. We then went down to the area in front of the stage, it wasn't long before the rain started again, thank god for taking my brolley!

My beautiful workmate Ruth and moi :)

I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, as the night went on, watching the crowd dance and slosh around in the mud haha (some crazy people dancing in the rain, in hardy a stitch on!) I didn't get a pic of the girls wearing very little, they disappeared after a short stint of bump and grinding away in front of the band to impress them in their 6inch heels, but after 15 mins of the rain falling, they realised that they didn't actually look that hot, when they looked like drowned rats, and it might seem like a good idea to go get dry and perhaps find a coat or a brolley like the majority of the rest of the crowd, as it was actually still quite cold with the rain coming down.

Oh it's a long trip home! I was quite impressed with myself to actually find my home in the dark and all these small village roads are even smaller in the dark and even more dangerous in the rain :( I took my time and only took a wrong turn once after realising that I had taken the wrong turn through the traffic lights. God my back and leg's! Getting old for this dancing malarkey! Finally get home, cold, wet and every part of me ached :( my boot's covered in mud, had to strip of at the door, run upstairs, wash the mud off my boots, run a bath and had a great soak :) ahhhh soooo nice! Only prob I was falling asleep, so had to go to bed. :(

Sunday morning, woke up early, definitely not getting up yet. Can hear the birds singing outside, quick toilet stop, and drink and it's back to bed and a snuggle under the covers for another hour or two. OMG where did that time go, I slept another four hours, I was sooooo tired and it was lovely in my bed this morning (well as lovely as it can be by oneself of course!)

Today I had a nice quiet day relaxing and getting a bit of R & R, I would have liked to have gone away, but funds wouldn't allow, but I'm working on that. I had promised to be around tonight anyway to pick up Rani from the bus, so that is fine. Tomorrow is time to do some work on the computer for my cv and help Rani and then it will be back to work Monday.

Well that's about the end of my excitement for the weekend :) I hope you have enjoyed whatever you have chosen to do in your week and know that you are all in my thought's now and always. Lots of love always and until my next blog xxxxx
